Rangers fans have hailed Celtic’s Ryan Christie after he helped to send Scotland to the European Championships last night.
The Celtic midfielder scored Scotland’s goal against Serbia in what was a hugely dramatic night.
Christie’s strike had actually looked to be sending Steve Clarke’s side through, before a last minute goal from Luka Jovic threatened to break Scottish hearts.
However, the Tartan Army eventually progressed on penalties – and even Rangers fans were crediting just how well Christie had played on the night.
The Celtic midfielder took has goal extremely well, as he swiveled in a tight area and managed to squeeze a left-footed shot in off the post.
After the game, Christie’s passion shone through as he conducted an emotional interview with tears in his eyes.
Scotland will now face games against England, Croatia and the Czech Republic in the group stages at the European Championships next summer.
