Pundit Chris Sutton has told the Daily Mail that he loves the determination of Arsenal left back Kieran Tierney.
Arsenal smashed West Bromwich Albion 4-0 on Saturday evening, making it three wins in a row as Mikel Arteta’s men begin to turn the corner.
Tierney was instrumental in the victory, opening the scoring with a superb solo strike before then adding an assist by crossing for Alexandre Lacazette to score.
The Scot was arguably man of the match for Arsenal, continuing his strong season despite the rest of the side often struggling at times.
Tierney looks to be Arsenal’s left back for years to come, and he is justifying the decision to leave Celtic for his move to North London in 2019.
Some Celtic fans felt that boyhood fan Tierney should have stayed put and won 10 in a row, but the Bhoys look set to miss out now.
Sutton – a former Celtic man himself – has suggested that he knows Tierney still follows Celtic whenever he can, even if some accused him of not loving the club when he left.

Sutton also admitted that he loves hearing Tierney’s determination, believing that he has the exact right mentality and Arsenal are now realising just how lucky
“Tierney was loved at Celtic and he still loves that club — I know he follows them when he can. But the Scot was well within his rights to come down south and try his luck in a more competitive league with a big club like Arsenal,” said Sutton.
“What Arsenal have lacked this season is drive and consistency and Tierney has both of those in abundance. He was once asked what London is like and answered: ‘I have no idea, I’ve never been into the city. I train, I work hard, I go home to recover and I train the next day.’ I love hearing that. That’s a determined player right there. Celtic knew how lucky Arsenal were to be getting Tierney when they spent £24million to bring him to the Premier League in 2019. Now Arsenal are realising that, too,” he added.
