Speaking on The Overlap, Harry Kane has been expressing his admiration for Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.

The striker was discussing the England team for the upcoming Euros, and he feels very confident about the Three Lions’ chances at the upcoming tournament.

Gary Neville was speaking to Kane about England’s chances at the tournament, and the Spurs man believes they’ve got a great shot.

“We’ve got a really good opportunity you know, we’ve always had good teams, but coming off the World Cup with that experience, we’ve got a group of players who play at the top level, in Champions League finals and at the best teams in the world,” Kane said.

“Who is the loudest in the group? Who speaks the most and are more vocal in the dressing room? You’d be one would you?” Neville asked

“Henderson is a great leader, Hendo, I love Hendo. What he expects from players on the training field, but he has a great relationship with everyone off the training field,” Kane said.

The Spurs ace then said that Eric Dier and Harry Maguire were also great leaders alongside Henderson.

“Eric Dier gets on with everyone, not afraid to talk on the pitch. Harry Maguire is the skipper at United and you can see why.”

Kane is spot on about Henderson, he’s a consummate professional and a fantastic leader.

There’s a reason Harvey Elliott recently said he’s like a clone of Steven Gerrard, and that’s because he’s a fantastic figure to have in a team as well as being a brilliant footballer.

Henderson relishes being a leader, and while he isn’t the official England captain, Kane seems more than happy to have him as one of his deputies.

Fingers crossed the midfield general can return to full fitness in time to contribute for England at the Euros.
