Anthony Gordon has claimed that Manchester United loanee, Donny van de Beek, was ‘amazing’ during Everton’s 3-0 win over Leeds on Saturday afternoon, as he told Premier League Productions (12/02/22 at 5:05 pm).
The Everton winger netted a brace during the game and stated that he ‘loves’ the intensity his new teammate brings.
It might be only one start, but after struggling for minutes at Man United, the technically-gifted Dutchman might just prove a few people wrong during these coming monhts.
After losing at Newcastle last time out, Frank Lampard handed Van de Beek his first start at Goodison and he didn’t disappoint.
The Toffees raced into a 2-0 lead with their on-loan midfielder pulling the strings in the middle of the park and Gordon was loving every minute of it.
“Amazing performance,” said Gordon. “I love Donny. I love the intensity he brings to the team.
“He started with Allan with a two in midfield and that’s difficult to get around the pitch. I thought they did amazing.”

With Manchester United dropping more points during the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday, it just further signifies the problems they have at their club.
Van de Beek hardly got a kick for them, yet hours later he was proving that he is better than most of what Ralf Rangnick was putting out against Southampton.
There is no doubt there is an edge and hunger in his game because he has been knocked down far too many times without being provided with a proper chance.
But all of that bodes well for Everton and their hopes to push up the table after a troublesome campaign.
