Tottenham star Harry Winks raved about his teammate Moussa Sissoko, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website, suggesting that the Frenchman gets stronger and more powerful as the game goes on.

The 29-year-old joined Spurs from Newcastle United on transfer deadline day in the summer of 2016, for around £30 million, but he initially struggled to settle in north London.

Sissoko has really come good this season, however, playing a key role for Tottenham, making 22 appearances in all competitions in the process.

His emergence this term really has been quite remarkable considering his early struggles with Spurs, and it could be argued that he is now one of the first names of Mauricio Pochettino’s team-sheet.

Winks spoke highly of the France international, when speaking to the club’s official website, admitting that he looks up to the midfielder in terms of his professionalism:

“We knew his quality anyway. He’s a top player, top professional and he’s showing everyone how good he is. He’s fit, powerful and gets more powerful the more games he plays. Credit to him, he’s fantastic. He’s a top guy, top player, top professional and someone I look up to in terms of his professionalism and how he conducts himself. He’s been great with me and he deserves all the praise he’s getting at the moment.”

Tottenham have some vitally important games coming up over the next few weeks and months, and there will be even more onus on Sissoko to perform, with Heung-Min Son heading off on international duty.

The Frenchman has already transformed himself into a fan favourite at Spurs, and if he continues to improve during the second half of the season, he will further cement that reputation.
