Jose Mourinho told talkSPORT on Tuesday evening that he ‘liked very, very much’ the performances of the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal duo, Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka last night.
England beat the Czech Republic 1-0 at Wembley at Euro 2020, with Arsenal’s academy product securing the Man of the Match award, and Tottenham’s ex-boss liking what he saw from the forward line.
Harry Kane continued to lead the line for his country, with Raheem Sterling out on the left, Jack Grealish down the middle and Saka playing on the right.
It was a devastating first-half performance from the attacking quartet, with the Three Lions finally showing drive, fluidity and attacking intent.
Mourinho delivered his verdict on what he saw from England’s forward line, as he mentioned the likes of Kane and Saka.
“I think they all played well,” said Mourinho. “That group of four players – Kane, Grealish, Saka and Sterling in the first half, they were very good.
“A lot of mobility. A lot of creativity. You could say basic positions, yes, but in the end, you could see Grealish on the left. You could see Harry in front of Sterling and behind Sterling.
“You could see Saka wide. You could see Saka coming inside. There was a lot of mobility and it was a great dynamic and intensity. I liked it very, very much.”

Whilst Kane is yet to score at Euro 2020, with the likes of Grealish and Saka around him, it won’t be long before he’s banging in the goals again.
It’s just a case of Gareth Southgate starting Grealish and Saka for England’s last-16 knockout game next Tuesday.
There’s no doubt that this was England’s best attacking display of the tournament and proof that when player’s of Grealish’s ilk start then it does lift the team in the attacking third.
Both he and Saka were running the show in the first half, and if Kane was asked, he would probably want the duo around him for the next game.
