Darren Bent has told TalkSport (04/10/20 at 6:40 pm) that he likes what Leeds United are doing this summer as they close in on an exciting deal for Raphinha.
The former Premier League striker thinks the potential arrival of the winger is a ‘good’un’ for Marcelo Bielsa and he is ‘all for that’ potential deal.
Sky Sports have reported that Leeds have agreed on a deal for Rennes winger Raphinha ahead of Monday’s 11pm deadline.
Leeds have been pretty busy in the transfer window since their return to the big time and Bent likes what’s going on in Yorkshire.
“It will be a good’un,” Bent told TalkSport. “I am all for that. I like him. He’s a good player, who is tricky. I like what Leeds are doing. I really like what they are doing.
“Looking at them, they are comfortably going to finish in the top 10 because of the way they have gone about it.”
Leeds United’s record transfers
- Rodrigo (2020)
£26 million
- Raphinha
£21 million (2020)
- Rio Ferdinand (2000)
£18 million
- Diego Llorente (2020)
£18 million
- Helder Costa (2020)
£16 million
It’s quite clear, Leeds mean business in the transfer market and they are looking the business on the field of play.
One thing they are lacking is experience, stability and the players needing to gel more, but that will come with time and it will make Bielsa’s men more dangerous down the line.
Nonetheless, it seems as though it’s going to be a race to the line for Leeds on deadline day and deals are seemingly set to be concluded at Elland Road.
