Some Tottenham fans on social media have been reacting to Dele Alli’s recent Twitter activity after his performance against Liverpool.
What’s Alli been up to?
Alli is an avid user of social media, but sadly, as has unfortunately become the norm in recent years, he receives plenty of criticism and hate on Twitter.
While some players are disheartened by these comments, it seems as though Alli is taking it all in his stride.
Indeed, after his impressive performance against Liverpool, the midfielder has actually been going back and liking tweets about him from before the game.
Before the game, some Spurs supporters were tweeting that they were bound to lose because Alli was starting and that he didn’t deserve his spot in the XI, but it’s fair to say they now have egg on their faces.
Proving them wrong
Alli has certainly proved these so-called fans wrong.
To be fair, supporters had every right to not expect much from Alli against Liverpool. After all, he’s been out of form for quite some time now.
However, Alli showed a glimpse of what he’s capable of against the Reds, and he’s made a subtle nod to these online critics by liking these tweets.
