Cesc Fabregas told talkSPORT that reported Liverpool target, Pedri, is ‘growing into the tournament’ at Euro 2020.
The Premier League legend hailed the ‘confidence’ in which Pedri is playing under and labelled the Liverpool target as a ‘special’ talent.
The Mirror did report in April that Liverpool contacted Barcelona regarding their highly-rated midfield technician.
And Fabregas, who knows what it’s like coming through as a talented teenager, shared what type of performances Pedri has put in at Euro 2020, so far.
“He started a bit slow,” said Fabregas. “But again, like the team, he is growing into the tournament.
“He played a fantastic season for Barcelona. But he’s only 18. We cannot forget that. He is a special talent and he will be a superstar in the near future.
“What I like is the confidence that he has got. He is always asking for the ball.
“Okay, sometimes it can be better. He can make other decisions. But I believe he is always showing for the ball. He wants the ball in difficult situations, he is there to be available. This is what I like, his personality.”

Spain reached the semi-finals of Euro 2020 on Friday and they are due to lock horns with Italy tomorrow.
Whilst Pedri’s performances have picked up as the minutes have ticked by in the tournament, so have Spain’s.
But they will face a different animal altogether when they are tasked with taking down the all-aggressive and tactically savvy Italian’s at Wembley.
The winner of that contest may well be facing England in the final, but they have to see past Denmark before they can even dream of lifting the trophy.
