Leeds United fans on Twitter have stated that they have been impressed with how Dean Smith reacted to Aston Villa’s 3-0 defeat to Marcelo Bielsa’s side on Friday.

There’s no doubt that Leeds deserved all three points, with Patrick Bamford netting a hat-trick on the night – all of his goals came during the second period.

After the match, Smith made it clear that Villa ‘got away with’ the game finishing just 3-0, as he was in no doubt that Leeds were the better side, as quoted by BBC Sport.

Leeds fans on Twitter believe someone like Gabby Agbonlahor, who was critical of the Yorkshire club prior to Friday’s game, could learn from Smith.

They liked the manner in which Smith conducted himself and was honest in his thinking that Leeds were the better side.

What will perhaps disappoint Smith more is the fact that his team didn’t score despite producing a number healthy opportunities for themselves.

Jack Grealish had his shot cleared off the line by Luke Ayling in the first half, with Ezri Konsa’s close-range effort being saved after the break.

Then Grealish went on this incredible mazy run from the edge of his own penalty area, but he was denied by Leeds’ thriving youngster between the sticks.

That’s when Leeds punished their opponents and blitzed them off the park.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of Leeds fans praising Smith for his comments after Friday’s game:
