Ally McCoist has suggested live on Sky Sports that he feels Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has made a smart signing by bringing Scott Wright to Ibrox.
Rangers signed Wright from Aberdeen in January, as Gerrard looked to add further depth to his squad.
Wright is yet to really show his top form at Rangers, with his appearances only fleeting so far.
But McCoist feels that the 23-year-old could develop into a star with the Light Blues.
“I like him, I do,” McCoist said. “I’ve got to say. I think there’s a lot of potential there. He certainly has bags of pace and has good running power.”
Wright actually came off the bench at the weekend, as Rangers picked up a 1-1 draw with Celtic, but he was unable to get particularly involved in the fixture.

The attacker has previously proven to be a threat when he was with Aberdeen though, and Rangers will hope that he can develop into a first-team star of the future in the coming years.
Wright could receive more chances between now and the end of the season, as Steven Gerrard has already hinted that he intends to rotate his side to ensure that they remain fresh.
