Jamie O’Hara has backed Tottenham Hotspur to hire Graham Potter if Antonio Conte leaves the North Londoners this summer.

According to The Daily Mail, Potter is one of two managers who Tottenham are looking at.

The other is a certain Roberto Mancini, who won Euro 2020 with Italy last summer.

The reason why managers are being linked with the Spurs job is because last month there was speculation about Conte quitting the Lilywhites to take the Paris Saint-Germain job.

That was rubbished via some sections of the media but if Conte fails to deliver Champions League qualification – and he might – then speculation will only intensify throughout the summer.

Potter has just masterminded a 4-0 victory over Manchester United and his Brighton & Hove Albion outfit are looking extremely good as of late, having thumped Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux too last week.

And O’Hara has admitted that he certainly wouldn’t be adverse to seeing the 46-year-old replace the legendary Italian, if he does indeed leave England this summer.

He told Stadium Astro: “I like Graham. I like him and I wouldn’t be disappointed if we appointed him. And I don’t think the fans would be.”

Is Conte going?

Well, that’s the big question.

There’s three Premier League games to go and Arsenal are four points clear of Tottenham in fourth position.

Conte is a volatile manager and he’ll have no problems walking out this summer if he doesn’t feel like Daniel Levy is giving him an honest chance in terms of recruitment.

And nobody would put the mortage on Levy doing that, which means there is certainly a risk of him leaving.
