Mat Ryan has wrote on his Instagram story that he ‘learns from the best’ as he made reference to Arsenal defender David Luiz.
Both Ryan and Luiz are set to leave Arsenal this summer, with the shot-stopper heading back to Brighton after his loan spell and the Brazilian leaving with his contract coming to an end.
Ryan came in as a back-up to Bernd Leno, whilst Luiz has found his game time reducing as the months have gone by in the season.
But that hasn’t meant that Luiz isn’t a popular member of the Arsenal dressing room because, judging by social media, it seems as though he is.
And ahead of his departure, Ryan had this message for him on Instagram:
“I learn from the best,” said Ryan. “All the best for your next chapter bro, it has been a great pleasure to share the dressing room with you.”

It’s now time for a clear-out at Arsenal after they missed out on European football for the first time in 25 years.
Getting players out of the club is perhaps more important than who comes in because too many players have been at the club for far too long without them moving forward.
Whilst Arsenal fans will want to see serious ambition in the transfer market, they have the players in their academy, from Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Joe Willock to progress forward.
It’s just a case of certain under-performing senior stars standing in their way.
