Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react after watching their 0-0 draw against Brighton on Monday Night Football yesterday.

While the game itself was a snooze-fest, the Toffees supporters noticed one thing after full-time which has them talking on Twitter.

Speaking to David Jones and Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports, Seamus Coleman reflected on the stalemate and seemingly aimed a dig at Liverpool.

When asked about Everton’s injury issues, the £70,000-a-week man said: “We don’t wanna be harping on about injuries. There’s plenty of other teams doing that.”

Now, a number of Everton fans think he may be referring to Liverpool, and they might have a case.

In the first half of the campaign, Liverpool’s players were dropping like flies.

Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip all suffered long-term injuries, while the likes of Jordan Henderson, Thiago and Fabinho all missed large chunks.

As it became a leading talking point, Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool’s players spoke about it aplenty in the media, either on their own accord, or after being asked.

As a result, it felt like the red half of Merseyside never stopped discussing their injury crisis, which is what Coleman is seemingly alluding to.

Let’s see what the Everton fans on Twitter have been saying about his subtle, or not-so-subtle, dig…
