Ian Wright has told Sporf that he knows Pierre Emerick Aubameyang loves Arsenal.
Aubameyang’s future at Arsenal is very uncertain as things stand, with his contract due to expire at the end of next season.
There are now big fears around the Emirates Stadium that they will be forced to sell their star player this summer.
But Wright is hopeful that Aubameyang will stay at Arsenal due to his affinity towards the club, although he admits that he couldn’t blame the rapid front-man for leaving.
“It depends totally on whether Aubameyang has the patience to wait for this to kick in, but if he didn’t I’m not sure at his age what people could say,” Wright said.
“He’s somebody that deserves to be playing at a level where he’s able to win things.
“Depending on his ambition, his people around him and what they’re saying to him, how much he loves the club – and I know he loves the club immensely – you have to pray that’s going to be enough for him to stay.

“I’m not gonna sit here and say anything other than I wish him all the best with what he does – but I pray to God he stays at Arsenal.”
Aubameyang is currently linked to a host of clubs, with interest mounting in the £50 million Arsenal forward, as reported by the Daily Express.
The Gunners will surely not risk losing him on a free transfer, as they have missed out on a big fees for a number of their top talents in recent times.
If Aubameyang does depart it will be a major blow for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Aubayemang has hit the back of the net 17 times in the Premier League this term, and replacing that level of goals could be a real struggle for the Gunners.
