Speaking to PLZ Soccer, Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has praised West Ham pair Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal.
The 27-year-old was speaking about Scotland’s upcoming European Championship campaign and with Scotland being drawn in the same group as the Czech Republic, Robertson has highlighted the West Ham pair as dangermen.
What’s he said?
Robertson isn’t blind to the fact that Scotland have an uphill task at the Euros, and he says that Soucek and Coufal are two players he’s very wary of.
“We’ve got a tough group. We played Czech Republic in the Nations League and the away game, I don’t think any of those players will be in their squad because of the covid hit, but we managed to get a good result at home, but they’re an incredibly tough team. I’ve played against Soucek and Coufal from West Ham and I know how good they are, they’re full of quality,” Robertson said.

Czech mate
The Czech Republic match could be vital for Scotland at the Euros.
Luckily for Robertson, he won’t have to worry about Soucek all that much due to the fact he’ll be playing in the centre of midfield, but Coufal at right-back will be directly competing with the Liverpool man down that flank.
Unfortunately for Robertson, Scotland may not have a midfielder capable of dealing with the threat Soucek brings in the middle of the park, and even though Robertson knows about the danger he poses, stopping him is certainly an unenviable task.
