Man City are on the verge of completing the £100m transfer for Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.
According to the Athletic, the Premier League champions are close to making a Premier League record signing in the form of the England international.
Grealish has been a target for City for the majority of the window. And now Pep Guardiola has seemingly got his man, with Harry Kane also a target for the English champions.
The fee paid by City blows what Manchester United paid for Paul Pogba in 2016 out of the water.
Before Grealish, Guardiola’s record signing at Man City was Ruben Dias last summer for £65m according to Sky Sports News.
Indeed, this transfer will have huge implications for both City and Villa ahead of next season.
