Last night, the NUFC Supporters Trust held an end of season chat with some important figures related to Newcastle.
There was The Athletic’s George Caulkin to share some inside information, but we also got to hear from none other than Alan Shearer.
Interestingly, the 50-year-old revealed what he and Ian Wright have been saying to Newcastle’s man in form, Joe Willock.
The NUST’s YouTube channel quote him as saying: “I’m with Ian Wright on most Saturday nights, and Ian speaks to Joe (Willock) and is a little bit of a mentor to him. I keep saying to him if he ever needs or wants anything, my number is there.”
It’s great to see two hugely influential figures putting an arm around the 21-year-old and try to help him.
Evidently, whatever Shearer and Wright have been saying to Willock is helping him work wonders at St James’ Park.

Incredibly, the man on loan from Arsenal has scored in each of his last six Premier League appearances.
In doing so, he became the youngest player in Premier League history to achieve the feat.
Sadly, Mikel Arteta said that Willock will be returning to Arsenal, pouring cold water on him potentially joining Newcastle on a permanent basis.

However, the Spaniard is hardly going to weaken Arsenal’s negotiating stance by putting him up for sale in the media.
Keep an eye on this one, as it seems like Willock has enjoyed his time on Tyneside tremendously.
Who knows what’ll happen this summer.
