Reported West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers target Andre Silva believes his market value stands at £30 million after a superb Bundesliga campaign, as he told O Jogo.

For Wolves fans, this is a saga with more instalments than Final Destination. And, like poor, doomed Mary Elizabeth Winstead, the Molineux faithful must be suffering a rather vivid case of déjà vu with Silva returning to the gossip columns.

After all, Wolves have been linked with the Portugal international ever since the summer of 2018, when he was struggling to live up to his £33 million price-tag at AC Milan.

Flash forward three years and Silva is finally putting that San Siro nightmare behind him, taking his seasonal tally to 19 in 21 Bundesliga games during Frankfurt’s 2-1 defeat to Werder Bremen on Friday.

According to BILD, a remarkable strike-rate has Wolves pining over an old flame. West Ham are also keen, with David Moyes’ side flying high in the absence of a natural centre-forward (Mail).

But how much is Silva worth in today’s stretched transfer market?

“A 105 million? I’m kidding! I think I heard somewhere around 30 (million). When we sell our merchandise, we always increase the value a little bit!” quipped the former Porto wonderkid, who is sandwiched between Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland in the Bundesliga scoring charts.

“I’ve been hearing rumors but it’s just that. Rumors are rumors.

“(The transfer speculation) is something that gives me more motivation to work, it is a sign that what I’ve accomplished has borne fruit and the path has been good.”

Securing qualification for the Champions League group-stages (and, yes, that remains a distinct possibility) may open the door for West Ham to target players of Silva’s sky-high calibre.

Yet Wolves may have a rather useful ace up their sleeve.

There are no prizes for guessing who Silva’s agent is…
