Pundit Don Hutchinson has said that he has heard a rumour that Liverpool could sign Mason Mount in the summer of 2023.
It has been recently reported that Jurgen Klopp’s side internally believe that the Chelsea academy graduate, who the German coach deemed as a £60 million player via Eurosport prefers a switch to Anfield over joining Newcastle United.
Now, pundit Don Hutchinson has tweeted that he has heard that Liverpool may have a strong chance of signing Mason Mount from Chelsea next season.
Pundit Don Hutchinson says Liverpool could sign Mason Mount
It has been widely claimed that the England international is undergoing a contractual dispute with Graham Potter’s men, as his current deal expires in 2024.
In addition, Mount has been in poor form for Chelsea this campaign, which perhaps could push them into accepting bids for him in the summer.
As Liverpool look to capitalise on the Mason Mount situation in the summer transfer window, pundit Don Hutchinson has said they could well complete a deal for him.

“I heard a cheeky rumour yesterday that Mason Mount to Liverpool this summer is strong”, he said.
As the potential arrival of the 24-year-old could split the Kop in half, we have decided to give our verdict on the reported transfer.
In our view: Mount to Anfield would be a win-win situation
Considering Liverpool are in desperate need of midfield reinforcements, if Don Hutchinson is proven right, Mason Mount would be a terrific signing.
The Cobham graduate’s culmination of steel and silk makes him the perfect hybrid between a No.8 and a No.10 that has done well under Klopp, such as Georginio Wijnaldum or Ilkay Gundogan in the past.
From Mount’s perspective, he could play for one of the biggest clubs in Europe and become a regular starter.
It would be a case of being a prisoner of the moment to forget the heights the attacking midfielder has already hit in his relatively short career.
