Jim White has said on talkSPORT (11:37am, March 22, 2021) that the Newcastle United players are behind manager Steve Bruce.
The talkSPORT and Sky Sports presenter has claimed that he has been told by someone from inside Newcastle that Bruce will not walk away.
White has added that the Newcastle players are fully behind their manager as well.
The presenter said on talkSPORT (11:37am, March 22, 2021): “I hear this morning from inside the club that Steve Bruce is 100% committed to carrying on in the job. And I also hear from inside the club that the players are 100% behind him.”
Relegation worries
Newcastle’s 3-0 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion away from home in the Premier League last Friday saw the Magpies push further into the relegation battle.
There were calls for the Premier League club to dismiss Bruce and bring in a new manager to avoid relegation.
However, as reported by Sky Sports, The Shields Gazette and The Chronicle, Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has decided to stick with Bruce.
From White’s inside information, it is good to see that the players are behind Bruce, and that the manager himself wants to make sure that the team stay up.
