A stupendous Harvey Elliott goal for Liverpool has helped Jurgen Klopp’s outfit into a comfortable half-time lead at Anfield this afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp’s outfit are leading Bournemouth 5-0 on Merseyside following a fast and furious start from the hosts.

Luis Diaz fired Liverpool ahead and another cracker from Elliott had the Reds comfortable after only six minutes.

However, Pat Nevin was raving about Mohamed Salah.

The Egypt international produced a number of moments of magic throughout the first half – and also missed a sitter to make it 3-0.

Here’s what Nevin said about the Liverpool attacker, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: “I have to say, Salah is having one of those days. Everytime he gets the ball the whole place just gasps, waiting to see what he does next.”

It’s been a frightening first half from Klopp’s side, who hadn’t won a Premier League game this season before kickoff.

Trent Alexander-Arnold fired the Reds into a 3-0 lead, before Roberto Firmino added a fourth on 31 minutes and Virgil van Dijk headed home another on the stroke of half time.

This is terrifying if you’re Scott Parker, the Cherries boss, because you get the impression that Liverpool haven’t reached top gear yet.

The Anfield outfit are capable of making this much worse during the second half and it’ll be a fascinating watch if you’re a Liverpool supporter.
