Alasdair Gold has suggested that there could be a surprise name on Tottenham Hotspur’s wishlist as they look for a new manager, on his personal Youtube channel.
Tottenham have been looking to find a new boss for weeks now, as they search for Jose Mourinho’s replacement.
A whole host of names have been linked with the job – but as yet the identity of their first choice candidate is yet to really become clear.
Football London have reported that Tottenham have two top choice contenders to take the role, who are both under contract.
They also say that Tottenham will have to commit financially, if they are to land their favoured option for the role.
And Gold has now suggested that Tottenham’s top target could be someone that hasn’t yet been thought of.
“I have this feeling that there is someone else we don’t know who is going to be in the mix,” Gold said.

Considering the sheer volume of candidates who have been linked with Tottenham, it is rather difficult to guess quite who that candidate could be.
Niko Kovac, who is currently at Monaco, or even Zinedine Zidane who looks set to leave Real Madrid, may be two potential options to come into the running – but both do seem rather unlikely.
Either way, with Tottenham’s managerial appointment seemingly edging closer, it does seem that Spurs supporters won’t be kept waiting for too much longer, as they wait to see who will be the man picked by Daniel Levy to take the club forward.
