Paul Scholes has claimed that Harry Kane’s performance for Tottenham during their 3-2 win against Manchester City was one of the best he has seen in a ‘long time’, as he told Premier League Productions (20/02/22 at 1:40 pm).
The legendary midfielder added that both Kane and Son were ‘brilliant’ for Spurs following their epic stoppage-time win at the Etihad.
Many have rightfully questioned Kane’s performances this season, but over the weekend, that was his best of the campaign so far.
It is ironic that it came against the team that was so keen to sign him in the summer
“Kane and Son were brilliant,” said Scholes. “The best centre-forward performance I have probably seen in a long time from Harry Kane.”

Many Spurs fans will be rightfully questioning where that type of performance was from Kane for large parts of this season.
To put it simply, he has been well off it by his standards, but it seems as though he is leaving his best form for when it matters most.
In fact, under Antonio Conte, he has looked far better and it stems well for the club’s hopes of securing Champions League football at the end of the season.
Given all the drama that surrounded Kane in the summer, Spurs need Champions League football to perhaps increase their chances of keeping their star man.
