Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club announced that Patryk Klimala had joined New York Red Bulls on a permanent basis.
The 22-year-old joined the Bhoys in January 2020 after arriving from Jagiellonia for £3.5 million, but he failed to set Paradise alight during his time in Glasgow.
Klimala scored just three goals in 28 games for the Hoops, as he – unsurprisingly – struggled to dislodge Odsonne Edouard from the starting XI.
The Polish striker won’t be arriving to a bunch of total strangers in New York, luckily for him.
His former teammate Cameron Harper is already at the club, having joined New York Red Bulls in March – hopefully, he’ll help Klimala settle in quickly.
Celtic’s official announcement doesn’t mention any fee.

However, the Glasgow Times believe that the Bhoys have sold Klimala for £3.5 million, with add-ons also involved.
While he wasn’t exactly a huge success at Celtic Park, the Hoops will surely be glad to get their money back on the 22-year-old.
Hopefully, this cash will be reinvested into a new face or two once the summer transfer window opens.

Some reinforcements are certainly needed.
Neil Lennon’s replacement has plenty of work to get through this summer, to say the least.
Let’s see what the Celtic fans on Twitter have been saying about the club’s announcement…
