Lucas Digne has been speaking to the Daily Star about his start to life at Aston Villa, following a £25m move from Everton in January.
What’s the story?
Well, the Frenchman joined the Villans after a fallout with Rafa Benitez at Goodison Park, and their loss was Steven Gerrard’s gain.
Digne has helped Aston Villa record a 2-2 draw against Manchester United and a 1-0 win over Everton in his two Premier League appearances so far.
The 28-year-old even set up the only goal against his former club.
Now, Digne has revealed what he’s found “crazy” about life at Villa Park.
The ex-Barcelona man said: “I have settled in well. Villa is amazing. I have never seen facilities like this. It’s crazy.
“You have someone for everything here – booking an appointment for your family, in the gym you have someone for the lower body, the upper body. You don’t have any excuses!”
That is very, very interesting to hear.
It just goes to show the level of detail Aston Villa are putting into everything around the football club, even behind the scenes.
Additionally, these comments could potentially help to lure any future transfer targets to the Midlands.
Lucas Digne comments speak volumes about Aston Villa

In our view, this revelation should not be understated.
Digne has played for some of Europe’s top clubs, including Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Roma.
Therefore, the fact that even clubs of that stature cannot match the facilities on show at Aston Villa is eye-opening.

Clearly, the Villans are acting like a European giant behind the scenes, and it feels like it’s only a matter of time until that transpires onto the pitch.
With the likes of Gerrard in the dugout and Philippe Coutinho on the field, there’s no reason why Aston Villa can’t soon rub shoulders with clubs like Barcelona on the European stage.
