Speaking on the Last Word on Spurs YouTube channel, Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge has been chatting about Dele Alli and reported interest from Newcastle United.

It’s no secret that Alli could leave Tottenham before the end of the transfer window. However, Bridge is led to believe that there’s not a single club keen on bringing him in.

Newcastle United have been linked with Alli, but the journalist claims that Tottenham aren’t keen to deal with the Magpies.

What’s been said?

The reporter shared what he knows about Spurs and Newcastle.

“I’m told as well that there’s no real interest in Dele at the moment, which is a real worry. Not on loan, no,” Bridge said.

“What about Newcastle?” One of the co-hosts asked.

“I don’t think Tottenham are keen to deal with Newcastle, that’s one of the little bits I have heard,” Bridge responded.

Anti-Newcastle pact

Tottenham reportedly aren’t keen to deal with Newcastle, and we have to wonder if that’s something to do with the so-called anti-Newcastle pact that has reportedly been formed by the Premier League’s elite.

The story goes that the top clubs in England feel threatened by the Magpies, so they have all agreed not to help the Tyneside club in their battle against relegation.

According to Duncan Castles, a number of clubs have agreed not to sell to the Magpies, with Manchester City being the only notable exception to the so-called ‘silent agreement’.

It will be interesting to see if Spurs manage to stick to their guns as Monday’s deadline approaches.
