Jamie Redknapp shared on Sky Sports Premier League (9:46pm, January 31, 2021) what he has heard about Tottenham Hotspur forward Carlos Vinicius in training.
The former Tottenham midfielder, who now now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, said that he has heard positive reports about Vinicius in training.
Redknapp made the comments following Spurs’ defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League at the weekend.
The 25-year-old, who joined Tottenham on loan from Benfica in the summer of 2020, came on as a substitute for Gareth Bale in the 61st minute and was praised by head coach Jose Mourinho after the game.
Redknapp said about Vinicius on Sky Sports Premier League (9:46pm, January 31, 2021): “He scored a hat-trick in the FA Cup game, and he looks okay. I have heard good reports about him in training.
“But it’s tough. He is not getting a lot of game time, and you are expecting someone to come in and hit the ground running. It is not as easy as that when you are playing in FA Cup games against teams that aren’t to this Premier League level.”

Tough for Carlos Vinicius
Vinicius has done well when he has played for Tottenham, but it seems that Mourinho still does not consider him good enough to start in the Premier League even with Harry Kane injured.
According to WhoScored, the Brazilian forward has made five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham so far this season.
The 25-year-old has also scored three goals in four Europa League starts and has scored three goals in two FA Cup ties, according to WhoScored.
