Antonio Cassano has doubts about whether Rodrigo de Paul can make the difference at a European giant amid reported interest from Liverpool, Juventus and Inter Milan, as he told Twitch.
Standing out at a mid-range Serie A outfit is one thing.
Emerging as a genuine match-winning talent at a club with genuine title ambitions is another.
And Cassano, the former Italy international, fears that De Paul would be little more than a small fish in a big pond if he swapped Udinese for a club the size of a Liverpool, an Inter or a Juventus.
“He doesn’t convince me so much. He has good qualities but he is a player who does interesting things at Udinese, he is from another planet at Udinese but I have doubts whether he can be part of it at a great, top team,” said the ex-Real Madrid and Roma forward.
“He doesn’t convince me that he can be a main player in a top team.”

TuttoUdinese reported last week that Liverpool are willing to pay around £26 million to bring De Paul to England, while Leeds United have been linked frequently since securing promotion to the Premier League.
With five goals and seven assists this season, De Paul is comfortably the stand-out talent in a rather limited Udinese side.
Whether he is capable of grabbing a stuttering Liverpool side by the scruff of its neck and dragging them back to the top of the table remains to be seen.
