Don Hutchison has told ESPN FC that he has been told that Harry Kane will leave Tottenham Hotspur for Manchester City.

The former Liverpool and West Ham United midfielder, who now works as a pundit for ESPN, made the comments following Tottenham’s exit from the Europa League on Thursday evening.

The Scotsman has said that he has been told that Kane will join City and has backed him to be a success under manager Pep Guardiola.

Hutchison told ESPN FC about Kane: “I believe it will be Manchester City. That’s what I have been told, and I think it’s a good fit.”

This is not the first time that Hutchison has claimed that he has been told by inside sources that Kane will move to City.

In January 2021, the former Scotland international midfielder made a similar comment on Twitter, which was since deleted and was covered by HITC Sport at the time.

Could Harry Kane leave Tottenham Hotspur?

With Sergio Aguero out of contract at City at the end of the season, manager Guardiola may have to find a replacement if the Argentine does not sign a new deal.

Kane is a proven goalscorer and is a world-class striker, and the England international would be a brilliant signing for the Citizens.

However, if Kane wanted to leave Spurs, then he would have left by now. Moreover, the striker knows that he could create history and become a legend at the North London club if he stays and becomes the top scorer.

If Spurs fail to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, then speculation will only increase on the future of Kane.

However, Tottenham fans should stay optimistic that their star player will continue to ply his trade at the club.
