Leeds United fans favourite Gaetano Berardi is unsure how long he will continue playing football.
The 29-year-old has already missed seven games through injury this season, in league and cup, having sat out large chunks of the previous two campaigns.
Having entered his fourth year at Elland Road, Berardi was asked on Friday whether he could finish his career there.
And he replied – via Leeds’ official Facebook page – as follows: “I don’t know. I’m not sure I will play a lot of years because my body is not so good – because I have a lot of problems.

“But if i have to think about the end of my career, yes, I can see this. It would be good.”
Berardi made his first start since the season’s opening day against Burnley on Tuesday, and appeared at Friday’s press conference sporting a cut beneath his left eye, having copped what he described as an “elbow” at Turf Moor.
Discussing his penchant for picking up war wounds, the Swiss defender added: “You saw me a lot of times like this. It’s not a problem, you will see me like this again – soon, I think.”
Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen
Having played 120 minutes against the Premier League side, Berardi could return to Thomas Christiansen’s Championship plans against Ipswich Town on Saturday.
However, he will have to see off summer signings Vurnon Anita and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson if he is to keep his place at Elland Road.
