Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Bruno Fernandes commented on Raphinha ahead of Manchester United’s trip to Yorkshire.
The Red Devils take on Marcelo Bielsa’s men this Sunday, where the Whites will be seeking revenge for December’s 6-2 hammering.
Fernandes – who knows Raphinha well from their time at Sporting Lisbon together – was asked about the Brazilian’s injury ahead of the clash.
Speaking to Manchester United’s official website, he said: “I hope not. I hope I can play against him but, if I have to put him down in the game, I will put him down. The relationships stay out of the game. He knows that.”
Now, that sounds a little harsh from the Portugal international, but we’re sure it was said in good spirits as the pair are close friends.
However, it seems like a few Leeds fans below have taken the £47 million man’s comments the wrong way.

One simply described Fernandes as ‘unlikeable’ while two other supporters mocked him for going to ground easily.
That seems a bit too much, as the Manchester United No.18 was only aiming a slight joke as his pal, it seems.
Nevertheless, given the historic rivalry between Leeds and the Red Devils, you can understand why some of the replies come across quite aggressively.

Hopefully, Raphinha is fit enough to play.
Then, we can see if Fernandes was being serious or not.
Let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about the 26-year-old’s comments…
