Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has claimed Liverpool only have the ‘one big injury’ – and fans of the Anfield club have reacted to the comment on Twitter.

Spurs visit the reigning Premier League champions at Anfield tomorrow in what is a top-of-the-table clash.

Jose Mourinho’s side are above Liverpool on goal difference and a victory could absolutely consolidate the belief that Tottenham are genuinely challengers.

It’s been a decent season for the Reds but you get the feeling that big injuries have cost them.

In addition to Van Dijk, Liverpool have also been missing Joe Gomez since the last international break and fans of the Merseyside giants have only seen Thiago Alcantara on two occasions.

Both of them would absolutely start against Tottenham tomorrow were they to be available.

And here’s how some Liverpool fans have reacted to Mourinho’s claims that they’re only missing one big player.

You sort of have to take anything Mourinho says with a pinch of salt, especially if it’s on the eve of a huge game.

The Spurs boss is something of a master of the dark arts and has been since his arrival in England 16 years ago.

He’ll know for sure that Klopp – who also has Diogo Jota sidelined – is missing more players than simply Van Dijk, but perhaps it’s all part of the mind games.
