Both Newcastle United and Arsenal are in the transfer hunt to sign Chelsea striker, Armando Broja this summer.

Everton boss, Frank Lampard, who provided the 20-year-old with his debut at Chelsea, has already lauded him as ‘very talented’.

At Southampton, during the recently-concluded campaign, he struck six Premier League goals for the 15th-placed Premier League side.

And whilst those numbers don’t jump off the page, it needs to be remembered that he is still a very young lad and Chelsea’s academy is renowned to produce some serious players.

That’s probably why the likes of Newcastle United and Arsenal like the look of the all-action forward, alongside other European clubs.

Nonetheless, Lampard, back in February, labelled Broja as someone who has a ‘real eye for goal’, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

“I gave him his debut!” said Lampard. “He’s a very good lad, very talented young boy. He’s fast, strong, and has a real eye for a goal. He’s a very good young player so I’m very aware of his strengths.”

BROJA NEEDS REGULAR MINUTES NEXT SEASON

Broja is at the stage of his career where he is still developing and learning his trade in the game.

He would have learnt a hell of a lot from his first full campaign in England’s top-flight and he needs to continue that next season.

Would he earn more game time at Arsenal or Newcastle? Well, would the Gunners trust such a young player to lead the line for them as they bid to return to Champions League football?

And does someone like Broja push ahead of Callum Wilson, who injuries aside, is Newcastle’s main and proven striker?

Either way, the Chelsea man needs to pick the team that will provide him with the starts, and if that means going back to St Marys’s, then so be it.
