Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club posted footage of Ashley Young training at Bodymoor Heath.
What’s the story?
Well, it’s safe to say the 36-year-old is looking as sharp as ever.
In the footage, Young could be seen scoring a nice effort with his left foot, following a tidy shuffle to create some space.
The 39-cap England international could also be seen striking the post with a thunderous volley.
Young also scored a couple of his trademark curlers in the video, which has gathered plenty of interest from the Aston Villa fans on Twitter.
Ashley Young could still light up the Premier League
The Villans re-signed the winger on a free transfer from Inter Milan in June.
At 36, many will understandably doubt the forward’s ability to trouble Premier League defences like he used to.
Even more so, many years of playing at full-back for Manchester United will have surely changed the way he plays going forward.
However, if this footage tells us anything, it’s that Young still has bundles of attacking quality.
He may not have the pace he once possessed.
However, with the likes of Ollie Watkins, Jack Grealish and Emiliano Buendia making space for him, he might not be so dependent on that pace anymore.
