Adem Zorgane thinks he’s ‘ready to leave’ Belgian outfit Charleroi with Wolverhampton Wanderers hoping to bring the £7 million midfielder to the Premier League this summer, speaking to Nord Éclair.
It would be a little unfair to suggest that Joao Moutinho ‘rolled back the years’ in Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Aston Villa.
After all, performances like this are not exactly few and far between for a man who continues to defy Father Time on an almost weekly basis these days.
Even at 35, Moutinho remains one of the first names on Bruno Lage’s team-sheet. He’s started 27 of Wolves’ Premier League games this season.
And the veteran’s departure – he will be a free agent in July – would leave Lage with a big void to fill, especially if playmaking partner Ruben Neves follows him out the door.
Who will replace Neves and Moutinho at Wolves?
According to The Athletic, Wolves are preparing for life without either Moutinho or Neves, even if talks over a new deal are ongoing with the former.
The report adds that Joao Palhinha and Matheus Nunes – the Sporting Lisbon duo who, like Moutinho and Neves, are Portuguese internationals – have been lined up as potential replacements.
22-year-old Zorgane has also been linked, via Voetbal Krant. And the buccaneering Algeria international, also a target for Lyon, Porto and many others, is ‘ready’ to take the next step in his promising career.

“I feel ready to leave,” says Zorgane, before making sure to pay tribute to a Charleroi side who snapped him up from relative obscurity.
“But I am also ready to stay. I’m here for the team that helped me get to Europe and made me shine a little bit. If we have great collective goals next year, like European football, and if the club needs me, even if there are offers, I could stay.

“A player always wants to look for bigger and the best. But progress can also be made within the same club. If we have a real challenge in Charleroi, it can also be very good (to stay).”
Wolves could also lose Francisco Trincao, Romain Saiss and John Ruddy, while Fernando Marcal has agreed a move to Botafogo.
