Some Bournemouth supporters believe that Nathan Ake has played his last game for the club, amid rumours that Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal want him.

The Daily Mail claimed in January that both Arsenal and Spurs were eying moves for Ake, as they looked to strengthen their respective defences.

If Ake is to move this summer, then the ending of his time at Bournemouth has not gone according to plan.

The Dutch defender picked up an injury in the Cherries game against Leicester City yesterday which looks likely to rule him out for the rest of the season.

And Bournemouth fans were left worrying that they may have seen the last of Ake, after rumours that Tottenham and Arsenal are ready to make a move.

If Ake was to move to Arsenal or Tottenham he could help to improve the quality available to Jose Mourinho and Mikel Arteta next season.

Both Spurs and Arsenal have looked shaky at the back at times this term, and strengthening defensively is likely to be a priority for the North London duo over the summer.

If they are to get hold of Ake, it is claimed in the Daily Mail that Bournemouth would want £40 million for him
