Chris Sutton has predicted that Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will win against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League this weekend.
The former Chelsea striker has said on BBC Sport that Manchester City will beat Liverpool 3-1 in front of their own fans.
City are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 61 points from 27 matches.
Pep Guardiola’s side are as many as eight points behind leaders Arsenal, who have played 28 games.
Meanwhile, Liverpool currently find themselves sixth in the Premier League table with 42 points from 26 games.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are seven points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, who have played 28 games.
Chris Sutton predicts Manchester City vs Liverpool
Sutton wrote: “Manchester City cannot afford to slip up here and lose any more ground in the title race. This is a must-win game for them.
“Liverpool will play on the front foot and try to take the game to City and I am sure they will cause them some problems, but I still worry about the Reds at the other end.
“Their high defensive line has been found out plenty of times this season and they are so inconsistent that I just don’t trust them to hold out. I fancy City strongly in this one.
“Sutton’s prediction: 3-1.”

Who will win?
In our view, Manchester City will fancy their chances of winning against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League this weekend.
Yes, Liverpool have started to pick up form, but City are more consistent and are also the defending champions.
The Citizens will know that any slip-up this weekend could cost them dear in the Premier League title race.
We believe that Guardiola will get his players fired up for the match against Liverpool.
