Speaking on the Ringer FC Podcast, Jamie Carragher has been previewing Liverpool’s game against Arsenal this weekend.
The Reds face the Gunners on Saturday and this could be a much closer game than anyone could have predicted it to be at the start of the season.
Indeed, despite Arsenal’s poor start to the campaign, the Gunners will go above Liverpool if they can win on Saturday.
However, Carragher is very confident that Liverpool will come away with three points, claiming that the Reds will win because they’ll be keen to right the wrongs of their last two matches.

Carragher gave his view on this weekend’s match.
“It’s a big game for Liverpool because off the back of the United game we have one point out of six. That’s not good enough and we need a big result and a big performance and I think Liverpool will get it because of that reason,” Carragher said.
“I expect Liverpool to be firing on Saturday I think Klopp having those two bad results, that international break, you know what it’s like for managers, that two weeks it’s stoking up inside of you and you can’t wait to get the players back.”
Mentality monsters
Carragher thinks Klopp’s side will come out on top this weekend because they’ll be desperate to get back on track, and he may be right.
Klopp hasn’t branded his side as ‘mentality monsters’ in the past for no reason. This team has an uncanny ability to pick themselves up and dust themselves down when they’re in a bad patch, and this weekend is the perfect chance for them to put their last two results right.
