Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch has taken yet another dig at Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa for their perceived time-wasting at Elland Road last weekend, this time using Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal as an example, as quoted in Leeds Live.
Marsch has suggested that unlike Aston Villa players against Leeds at Elland Road last weekend, Arsenal will not waste time on the pitch when they travel to West Yorkshire next weekend.
Leeds played out a goalless draw with Villa at Elland Road in the Premier League last weekend.
The Whites will take on Crystal Palace away from home at Selhurst Park in London in the league this weekend.
Then on October 16, Leeds will host Arsenal at Elland Road in the Premier League.
Arsenal are doing extremely well at the moment and appear to be in the race for the Premier League title this season.
Like Leeds, Villa could have to fight for survival in the top flight of English football.

This is not the first time that Marsch has criticised Villa for perceived time-wasting, though.
The Leeds boss publicly hammered the Villans following his side’s failure to win against them at Elland Road in the Premier League last weekend, as quoted in FourFourTwo.

Marsch said: “We tried to have some open dialogue with the league. People are aligned that its not great for the game with time wasting. Our next home match is Arsenal and I doubt we’ll see time wasting.”
