Neil Warnock has claimed that he doesn’t think Eric Dier has done well at Tottenham, as he told talkSPORT.
English football’s most experienced ever manager stated that Dier is ‘vocal’ at the back, but didn’t seem to rate the versatile Spurs player.
During the past few weeks, Dier has been missing from Antonio Conte’s side because of injury and the team have crumbled further in his absence.
Last week, the north London club suffered back-to-back defeats on home soil by shipping five to Southampton and Wolves, and in truth, it could have been a lot more.
Despite ex-Spurs midfielder, Jamie O’Hara, thinking Dier has done ‘very well’ under Conte, Warnock seemed to think that the 28-year-old is also a problem.
“I don’t think he has done well, either,” said Warnock. “He talks. But I don’t think Eric has done that well at the back. But he is vocal.”

Warnock may not like what he sees from Dier, but the Spurs fans, and most importantly, Antonio Conte do.
Forget about quality, the England international’s presence alone has been missed because Tottenham’s backline has looked clueless of late.
The absolute basics have well and truly gone out of the window, and in truth, it wouldn’t be a surprise to some because this is just a repeat of what has happened under other managers.
It won’t get any easier at the weekend because Spurs take on the Premier League champions Manchester City and they recently trashed Sporting Lisbon 5-0 in the Champions League, so a perfect time to play them.
