Don Hutchison has claimed that Heung-Min Son is ‘loyal’ to Tottenham and he doesn’t think he will leave, as he told Premier League Productions.
The former midfielder added that when things were going ‘pear-shaped’ for Spurs, players were ‘jumping ship’ and ‘Harry Kane wanted to leave’, their South Korean flyer showcased his true colours by penning down a new contract.
Son is a very popular figure with the Spurs faithful and one of very few who now remain from the Mauricio Pochettino era.
The 29-year-old will go down in the club’s history as one of their best purchases and a record-breaker, alongside his partner in crime.
The most goal combinations in Premier League history, and as they proved against West Ham United last time out, those numbers are just going to sky-rocket.
Nonetheless, when asked if Son could depart Spurs this summer, Hutchison shut down those claims and issued this response.
“I think he is loyal,” said Hutchison. “I think he is one of them, to me, when everything at Tottenham was going pear-shaped, people were jumping ship and Harry Kane wanted to leave.
“Son was the only one to go, ‘no, no. I will sign a brand new contract. I am happy’.
“I feel like with Son and his character, and I could be wrong, I feel like when I watch him play for Tottenham, then I don’t think he has any desire to move on.
“He might feel that he is playing for a brilliant football club. A huge club in England. And a brilliant manager.”

For Son, he will now be hoping that Kane follows suit and also pens down his future at the club.
The perfect summer, for those in Tottenham colours, regardless of whether they secure Champions League football or not, is Conte getting backed in the market.
The Italian then following that up by adding more years to his current deal and Kane also doing the same.
That’s when Tottenham can really motor forward, but you feel those at the top, mainly Daniel Levy, will have a big say in that.
