Troy Deeney told talkSPORT that he doesn’t think Gareth Bale will be at Tottenham next season.
The Watford hitman feels Tottenham’s left-footed talent doesn’t fit into what the North London club want going forward.
Bale is expected to return to Real Madrid in the summer, but it’s up for debate whether he will be back on North London shores again.
But Deeney is pretty sure he won’t be locking horns with the Welsh speedster next season, with Watford earning promotion back to the Premier League.
“I think he will go back,” said Deeney. “I think for the amount of money that they have been spending on wages.
“And again, when you look at it, then it’s all about youthful, high-energy players, with low risk to injury and being able to sell them on. I don’t think he fits into that category.”

Bale has produced in bursts this season and whilst his goal to minutes ratio is pretty impressive, Spurs fans perhaps expected more over the course of the season.
That then requires the Wales international needing more minutes on the pitch, which he didn’t get under Jose Mourinho, but either way, it’s a big decision for Spurs to make when the season is out.
Wages will be the clear issue, but will Daniel Levy be willing to push the boat out again by offering the set-piece specialist another deal, whether it’s a loan or permanent?
