Tony Cascarino has claimed that he can’t see Kalvin Phillips leaving Leeds United for West Ham United, as he told talkSPORT.
The former striker thinks West Ham won’t be able to ‘entice’ the Leeds star to the London Stadium.
In perhaps one of the more surprising rumours of the January transfer window, it seems as though David Moyes is trying to pair Declan Rice with his England teammate, Phillips.
The Guardian report that Leeds have turned down offers from the Hammers, not only for Phillips, but also their flying winger, Raphinha.
Despite such an ambitious move from West Ham, Cascarino just simply can’t see Phillips leaving.
“Well, they (Phillips and Rice) played pretty well together in the summer, didn’t they?” said Cascarino.
“Really good player. Leeds have missed him enormously. He wins the ball for fun off the opposition and does the simple stuff brilliantly.
“I don’t see that happening. I don’t think West Ham will get Kalvin Phillips.
“And he’s a Leeds boy. That doesn’t stop anybody from moving. But I don’t think West Ham will, at this moment, will be able to entice Kalvin Phillips from Leeds.”

On the international stage, both Phillips and Rice have built quite a remarkable partnership.
For England and at Euro 2020, the duo did more than what Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard did during their careers for the Three Lions.
The great thing for English fans is that they are years away from their peak and the best is yet to come.
But it would be quite something if they are both donning the same colours on the domestic stage.
