Marcus Rashford has been speaking to Daniel Kaluuya, Rashid Johnson and LeBron James on UNINTERRUPTED, where he made a claim about Liverpool.

What’s the story?

Well, when asked if there are any clubs he actually hates, the England international named Jürgen Klopp’s side.

In truth, that isn’t much of a surprise given the bitter rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United.

Rashford said: “Yeah Liverpool. I don’t like Liverpool. Liverpool have history so it’s a bit more bitter. But with (Manchester) City it’s like you don’t like them, but you don’t have a massive reason not to like them.

“You just grow up and it’s just two Manchester sides. One wears light blue, one wears red. But the rivalry with Liverpool is just deep.”

Now, we’re sure the Old Trafford faithful will enjoy hearing this, although Liverpool fans probably won’t be that bothered, in all honesty.

After all, why would they? The Reds are going into the 2022/23 campaign off the back of winning the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup, with the £64m Darwin Nunez added to that double-winning side.

To make things even sweeter, Liverpool beat Manchester United to the Uruguay international’s signature.

Therefore, we highly doubt Liverpool fans will become too upset after learning that Rashford hates them.

Liverpool fans probably don’t hate Manchester United star

Ironically, most Liverpool fans probably think a lot of Rashford, as a result of his work in going against the Government last summer.

As shown by GiveMeSport, some of the Anfield faithful were even discussing a banner for the 24-year-old back in January 2021, as a show of appreciation for his work in getting school children the meals they needed.

As you may know, Liverpool is a club with many socialist values which align with Rashford’s views, so if there is any Manchester United player in history who the Liverpool fans may actually like, it’s him.

Anyway, enough about politics.

Clearly, Rashford is fired up ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, and it will be interesting to see if he does his talking on the pitch under Erik ten Hag.
