Lee Hendrie said on Sky Sports News (12:08pm, April 10, 2021) that he cannot believe that Adama Traore was being linked with Liverpool earlier this season.
The former Aston Villa midfielder, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that Traore has not done enough for Wolverhampton Wanderers this season.
The Sky Sports pundit made the comments while analysing Traore’s performances for Wolves so far this season.
The 25-year-old winger scored for Wolves in their 1-0 win against Fulham away from home at Craven Cottage in the Premier League last Friday.
It was the former Aston Villa man’s first league goal of the season. Traore has provided just one assist in 30 Premier League games, according to WhoScored.
Sport reported in January 2021 that Liverpool, Leeds United and Manchester City were interested in signing Traore in the January transfer window.
Hendrie said about Traore on Sky Sports News (12:08pm, April 10, 2021): “This season I don’t know how he was getting linked with Liverpool just for that what hasn’t he done this season. He hasn’t done enough.”

Adama Traore to Liverpool?
It was always unlikely that Wolves would sell Traore in the middle of the season.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the summer of 2021. The Reds could decide to freshen up their attacking unit, and the Merseyside outfit could well decide to reignite their interest in the former Barcelona prospect.
Meanwhile, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has praised Trent Alexander-Arnold for his goal and performance against Villa at the weekend.
Salah said about Alexander-Arnold, as quoted in The Liverpool Echo: “I think he just needs to push himself. He’s been training well and he’s played really well the last couple of games.
“He just needs to try and keep focused – don’t listen to anyone, just try as hard as you can and it will come.”
