Trevor Sinclair told talkSPORT that he ‘doesn’t get’ Arsenal’s methods of trying to buy a goalkeeper
TalkSport suggested that Arsenal have now made Aaron Ramsdale their number one target and he could cost upward of £30 million.
This time last summer, Arsenal were selling Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa, yet if they land Ramsdale then they may have to pay double for what they sold the Copa America winner for.
Sinclair shared his thoughts on Arsenal going ‘all in’ for Ramsdale and those comparisons with Martinez.
“Listen, I don’t get it,” responded Sinclair. “We have said before, Emi Martinez going to Villa. Why? Because he was playing superbly well for Arsenal.
“They have allowed their best goalkeeper to leave and now they are chasing their tale by trying to bring someone in give competition to Leno.
“I just don’t understand how Arsenal is being run as a football club. That Emi Martinez one should never have gone through – it would be a great move for Ramsdale, Arsenal are a huge club and it’s quite a big fee.”

It does beg the question, with Sam Johnstone also available, why Arsenal aren’t pushing for him?
It has been suggested that he could now be available for as little as £12 million, as reported by The Athletic.
Not only did Johnstone produce better performance than Ramsdale last season, but he is also ahead of him in the pecking order for England.
The Gunners aren’t exactly experts when it comes to conducting transfer business and they may now have to put a question mark over what they are doing with their goalkeepers.
