Tottenham Hotspur are on the hunt for a new manager, and one of the names that is doing the rounds is Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.
Okay, there are no credible reports that claim that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wants Rangers boss Gerrard as his team’s new manager.
However, a quick search on Google about Gerrard and Spurs will throw up a lot of stories linking the Liverpool legend and the North London club.
Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has suggested Gerrard for Spurs, and so have ex-Tottenham stars Graham Roberts and Paul Robinson.
It is unlikely that Gerrard will leave Rangers for Tottenham – or any other club, for that matter – this summer.
After all, the Gers won the Scottish Premiership title this season and could qualify for the Champions League in 2021-22.
However, in football, you just never know.
Any Rangers fan who will have been worried about Gerrard potentially leaving if an offer from a big Premier League club came in will surely be delighted to know that Tottenham are not considering the 40-year-old.

Alasdair Gold said on his YouTube channel: “I have seen Steven Gerrard linked sometimes. I don’t believe he is in consideration.”
Gold is the Tottenham Hotspur correspondent for Football.London and is an authoritative voice on Spurs.
The journalist’s inside information that Spurs are not considering Gerrard should allay worries of Rangers fans… if they had any.
