Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after noticing that Thiago Alcântara had stepped up his recovery by making a return to training.
The Spain international hasn’t played a second of football since a gruesome challenge from Richarlison in the Merseyside derby.
In fact, since his £20 million move from Bayern Munich, the ex-Barcelona maestro has only made two appearances for the Reds.
Now, however, it looks like the Liverpool supporters will be able to see their No.6 back in action soon, as he’s spotted on the grass as the AXA Training Centre.
Judging by the reactions below, the Anfield faithful are ecstatic about this news, and why wouldn’t they be?
Thiago is arguably one of Europe’s best midfielders, and his ability to orchestrate games and pick opposition defences apart is on a world-class level.
The 29-year-old is a real gem of a footballer, and it’s been devastating to see him injured for such a lengthy amount of time.
One silver lining of his absence, however, has been the emergence of Curtis Jones.
The England Under-21 international has nailed down a starting berth in Thiago’s absence, and has impressed hugely.
However, there’s nobody like Thiago in Jurgen Klopp’s squad, and we presume the German can’t wait to have him back.
