Simon Jordan has stated that he ‘doesn’t believe’ that Arsenal owner, Stan Kroenke, invested in total ‘£5bn’ for the Los Angeles Rams to win the Super Bowl, as he told talkSPORT.

The former Crystal Palace owner was critical of the American businessman and thinks Arsenal fans are ‘right’ in constantly snipping in how he runs their club.

Whilst Kroenke is being adored all the way in LA after they won the Super Bowl, the feeling is a lot different in north London and those donning Arsenal colours.

Arsenal have disintegrated during his ownership of the club and some believe it will only continue going one way.

From being English champions, challenging for titles and in the Champions League, the Gunners couldn’t even make Europe last term.

Jordan’s tenure at Crystal Palace wasn’t exactly rosy, so he knows what it’s like feeling the heat from the fans and he isn’t a fan of the man running Arsenal’s ship.

When talkSPORT presenter, Jim White, shared his views on the Arsenal owner, Jordan issued this response.

“It has been reported in the US,” said White. “That the same silent Kroenke has invested no less than £5bn in LA going all the way and winning Super Bowl.

Jordan responded: “I don’t believe that.”

Then White added further: “We didn’t see him at Wembley when Arsenal won the FA Cup, did we? Arsenal fans constantly snip about this man, Kroenke. Are they right to do that? Considering he spent £142 million on transfers in the last years”

Jordan responded again: “They are because he dismantled what he inherited and what he took over. It was in a far better position, with a far better squad of players, a far better attitude than the one that he now presides over.

“I have made an observation about a billionaire that loves mediocrity, well he certainly loves that in English football – Arsenal fans do deserve to have a better return from their owners.”

The words ‘trust the process’ have been bandied about during Mikel Arteta’s reign at the club.

This is a young squad the former midfielder is building and there have been signs that they will get back to where they belong.

But, when the defeats come knocking, then the feeling around the Emirates is a lot different.

Whatever the viewpoint about Arsenal, one thing is for sure, the club is in a far worse place than when Kroenke was first handed the keys to the club.
